The Newhall El Pollo Loco restaurant location took its famous fire-grilled chicken to the next level late Friday night, when a small fire was reported inside the walls of the business, officials said.

At 11:59 p.m. Friday, emergency responders received reports of a commercial structure fire on the 24800 block of Pico Canyon Road, later discovered to be the El Pollo Loco restaurant location, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD) officials.

“Last night’s commercial fire on Pico Canyon (was a) small fire in (the) wall of (the) restaurant,” said Maria Grycan, LACoFD Community Services Liason.

No injuries were reported, and the extent of the damage was not available as of Saturday morning.
