Kuehl said the county’s governing board was watching the situation closely and working to help evacuees.
“As we move into the third day of the devastating Woolsey Fire, we are mindful of all those impacted, as well as the brave men and women on the ground battling the fire and all of those organizations and volunteers who are providing critical relief services,” she said. “We are dedicated to helping each person displaced and frightened and securing ever more resources throughout the county.”

The county supervisor said she was heartened to hear of kindness and neighbors helping neighbors as they tried to escape.

“Through all this sadness, I’m also greatly filled with hope listening to the countless stories of residents who risked their lives to help their neighbors, of government agencies at every level working together to keep people safe, and of the outpouring of support from Angelenos offering refuge, sheltering of pets, essential supplies for those displaced and for our firefighters,” Kuehl said.

Kuehl emphasized the interagency cooperation in fighting the fire, and thanked several of the organizations working to mitigate damages.
“This a team effort at every level and, on the County side, I want to send my heartfelt thanks to our LA County Fire Department, Office of Emergency Management, Animal Care and Control, Sheriffs, Beaches and Harbors, Public Health, Mental Health, Public Works, Libraries and others who have stepped up to provide so much aid, assistance and services for all those affected,” she said. Those looking for ways to help the victims can click here.
