North Fire Evacuation Assistance Available Through Red Cross, Animal Evacuation Available

The American Red Cross Los Angeles is urging Santa Clarita residents who need a place to stay during North Fire evacuations to reach out for assistance, with Castaic Animal Care Center providing shelter for animals.

The Red Cross is assisting people under North Fire evacuation orders who have no place to go, according to Marium Mohiuddin, a spokesperson for the American Red Cross.

“We are talking with people virtually by helping with what they need,” said Mohiuddin.

The Castaic Animal Care Center is providing shelter for large and small animals affected by the North Fire evacuations.

There is currently no designated evacuation center for people.
