An elderly woman sheared a gas and water line in Canyon Country Tuesday morning while backing out of her garage.
Around 8:20 a.m., first responders received reports of a traffic collision in the 18000 block of Sundowner Way in Canyon Country, said Chad Chebbi, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“An elderly female backed into a gas and water line,” Chebbi said.
Officials were able to safely and quickly shut off the gas and water.
No evacuations were needed, and no injuries were reported, according to Chebbi.
The incident happened as the woman was backing out of her garage, according to initial reports.
