A crash on the southbound I-5 Freeway saw one vehicle go over the side of the road near Lake Hughes Road on Sunday.
Just before 11:20 a.m., a traffic collision was reported on the southbound 5 Freeway near Lake Hughes Road, where one vehicle had collided with a guardrail and another went over the side of the road, officials said.
“The initial call came out as all lanes were blocked due to the collision,” said Officer Moses Marroquin with the California Highway Patrol Traffic Management. “One vehicle went down the embankment about 15 feet, but we can’t confirm how many vehicles were involved.”
Officials from the Los Angeles County Fire Department were still on scene as of noon Sunday.
