A jack-knifed big rig has blocked multiple lanes of traffic on the southbound 14 Freeway Monday morning, officials said.
UPDATE: 12:20 p.m. — The No. 4 lane closure has been extended for approximately two hours, according to the California Highway Patrol.
UPDATE: 10:55 a.m. — A Sig Alert has been issued blocking the No. 4 lane until approximately 11:45 a.m., according to CHP officials.
On Monday around 10:15 a.m., first responders received reports of a traffic collision involving a big rig on the southbound 14 Freeway at Newhall Avenue, said Bernard Peters, a dispatch supervisor for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“The (paramedic) squad was canceled,” Peters said.
As a result of the crash, the three right lanes of the 14 Freeway at Newhall Avenue are temporarily blocked, according to officials.
One person was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, according to officials.
