The man struck and killed by a car in Canyon Country over the weekend has been identified, officials said.
David Lopez Martin, 27, was identified as the man struck and killed by a car on Sunday near the intersection of Soledad Canyon Road and Sierra Highway in Canyon Country, according to the L.A. County Coroner’s Office.
At around 12:46 a.m. Sunday, first responders received reports of an accident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian, according to Dispatch Supervisor Bernard Peters with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The driver who hit Martin remained on scene and called first responders, according to Deputy Natalie Arriaga with the SCV Sheriff’s Station.
“No drugs or alcohol seem to be a factor but toxicology is still pending,” said Arriaga.
No charges have been filed in connection with Martin’s death as of Wednesday.
