A motorcyclist was transported to the hospital Tuesday after colliding with a truck in Canyon Country, officials said.

Around 3:45 p.m. Friday, first responders received reports of a crash involving a motorcycle with the rider possibly trapped underneath a large truck on Sierra Highway near Jakes Way, said Sky Cornell, an inspector with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

“There was no person trapped,” he said.

The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital, according to fire officials. Traffic on the southbound side of Sierra Highway was slowed due to only the #1 lane being left open for the duration of the incident.

The victim is in unknown condition as of Tuesday afternoon.
