One person was ejected after a Highway 138 crash near Fairmont Friday morning, officials said.
The crash was reported at about 8:55 a.m. Friday near Highway 138 and 200th Street West, according to Franklin Lopez with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“The call came in a solo-vehicle traffic collision with the party ejected,” Lopez said
A Honda Civic overturned and landed on its roof, according to California Highway Patrol (CHP) logs.
Upon arrival, officers reported the victim was “breathing, but not conscious,” CHP logs said.
One person was airlifted to a local hospital by Copter 11 with L.A. County Fire Air Operations, according to Lopez.
A quint with specialized tools such as hydraulic shears, known as the “jaws of life,” was requested to the scene to search the vehicle for additional victims, according to Fire officials.
No additional occupants were reported to be found inside the vehicle.
