One person was transported to the hospital Monday afternoon after a crash on the 14 Freeway.

At 1:16 p.m. Monday, emergency responders received reports of a traffic collision on the northbound 14 Freeway near Sand Canyon Road or Shadow Pines Boulevard, according to Charisma Murrillo, spokesperson with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

“It came in as a traffic collision,” Murillo said. “One patient was transported.”

Witnesses stated that the driver possibly lost control before hitting the right guardrail, according to California Highway Patrol (CHP) incident logs.

The person transported may have suffered a broken bone, CHP officials said.
