An individual was airlifted to the hospital Monday morning following a rollover 14 Freeway crash in Santa Clarita.
Around 10:15 a.m. Monday, first responders received reports of a traffic collision on the southbound 14 Freeway near Shadow Pines Boulevard in Santa Clarita, said Sean Ferguson, spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“The call came in as a traffic collision with persons trapped,” Ferguson said.
When crews arrived on scene, they reported a single vehicle overturned and no persons were trapped, according to Fire officials.
Firefighters requested a helicopter to respond, according to officials.
All southbound lanes of the 14 Freeway were briefly closed to allow the helicopter to land, according to officials.
“We did airlift one person to the hospital,” Ferguson said.
The condition of the patient is unknown as of Monday morning, according to officials.
