Pedestrian Transported To Hospital After Being Struck By Car

A pedestrian was transported to the hospital after she was hit by a car in Newhall on Monday.

Just after 8:30 p.m. Monday, first responders were called to the scene of a collision at the intersection of La Glorita Circle, Evans Avenue and Wiley Canyon Road, one block south of Lyons Avenue.

“We got the call at 8:30, dispatched at 8:31, and we were on scene by 8:37,” said Supervisor Leslie Lua of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. “One patient was transported.”

The driver of the vehicle, a Kia sedan, remained at the scene to speak to law enforcement officers.

The female pedestrian was stabilized by AMR and firefighters from Station 124 then transported her to the hospital for treatment.

The extent of her injuries are unknown as of Tuesday morning.

This pedestrian-involved crash comes at the heels of one on Sunday, where a woman and child were airlifted from Canyon Country Park.
