More rain is expected for the Santa Clarita weather forecast bringing up to an inch of precipitation over the span of two days, officials said Friday.
Starting Friday around 8 p.m., Santa Clarita residents could start seeing showers, said John Dumas, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service (NWS).
“This is not going to be a hard frontal system like we had at Thanksgiving with big downpours,” Dumas said.
Over Saturday and Sunday, rain is expected to be slow and steady, according to officials.
“We are expecting the same amount of rain that we had on Wednesday, just over the span of two days,” Dumas said.

The upcoming storm is expected to be a warmer system resulting in snow levels higher than the Grapevine, according to NWS officials.
“We are calling snow levels above 7,000 feet and the Grapevine is around 4,000,” Dumas said.
Temperatures are expected to be in the high 60s and low 50s throughout the weekend, according to officials.
