Strong winds expected in Santa Clarita this week may lead to power outages, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) Los Angeles.

Wind gusts of up to 45 miles per hour are expected to affect the Santa Clarita Valley from late Tuesday through Wednesday, per the NWS Los Angeles.

Officials have warned of possible downed power lines, fallen tree limbs and movement of loose objects during the wind event.

The winds could also be dangerous for those driving larger vehicles, like buses and big rigs.

Parts of the Los Angeles County coastline and the San Fernando Valley are also slated to be affected by the winds.

Ventura County is set to experience high winds in its valleys and coastline.
