With last week’s heat wave flaming through the Santa Clarita Valley residents can expect another week of warm temperatures.
“We are in a downward trend from last week but going into the next week it will still be five to 10 degrees above the normal,” said Mike Wofford, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
The normal temperature during this time of year is typically in the mid 90’s, according to Wofford.
It is expected to stay in the high 90s and low 100s for the next week and a half, according to the National Weather Service.
To beat the heat the National Weather Service suggests:
- Drink plenty of fluids
- Stay in an air-conditioned room
- Stay out of the sun
- Check up on relatives and neighbors
- Schedule any outdoor activities for early morning or later in the evening
Under no circumstances should children or pets be left in cars.
