Southern California has experienced a heat wave throughout July, and warm temperatures are expected to continue to affect Santa Clarita with high 90 and triple digit heat through the end of the week.
According to the Los Angeles National Weather Service (NWS), heat is still on the mind of residents in SoCal, including those in Santa Clarita.
“Away from the coastline highs will be in the 90s up to triple digits across the far interior,” said officials with NWS L.A.
The highs in Santa Clarita are expected to be around 98 degrees throughout this week until Sunday before dropping a few degrees next week with humidity remaining low.
Light winds are also expected throughout the week.
NWS officials are encouraging people to maintain their heat avoidant activities, including staying hydrated, finding AC and limiting outdoor activities.
Residents can also escape the heat by heading to the coast this weekend for cooler weather, with expected high surf and dense fog in SoCal beaches.
