The Santa Clarita Valley received approximately 6 inches of rain with this last storm.
After a weekend from the storm, parts of Santa Clarita received over 6 inches of rain, according to meteorologist Todd Hall with the National Weather Service (NWS).
“Santa Clarita received three and a half to six inches of rain with the highest across the south near the mountains,” said Hall.
With the rainfall on Sunday, Six Flags Magic Mountain closed its theme park for the day and several schools were closed on Monday.
Mudflow forecasts were issued for different burn scars in the Santa Clarita Valley which are expected to expire by 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Showers are expected to linger with the potential of thunderstorms with breezy, gusty winds until the end of the week when the weather is expected to clear up, according to Hall.
