While fall is here, triple digits are again in the Santa Clarita forecast with a red flag warning going into effect for the surrounding areas.
Temperatures are expected to heat up to around 107 by the middle of the week, said Bryan Lewis, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service (NWS).
By Friday, temperatures are expected to drop down into the high 90s to low 100s before warming up again over the weekend.
A red flag warning has been issued for the 14 Freeway Corridor and the Western San Gabriel Mountains, according to Lewis.
While no red flag warnings are in place for the Santa Clarita Valley, there are still elevated fire conditions as humidity levels are expected to drop down between 5 to 20 percent.
While October is when Santa Ana winds start to come into play, officials with the NWS say there are no wind events expected at least within the next 10 days.
