Dodgers Make History With Back-to-Back World Series Titles

The Los Angeles Dodgers made baseball history Saturday night, capturing their ninth World Series championship – and their second consecutive title – with a dramatic 5-4 comeback win over the Toronto Blue Jays in 11 innings.

After shortstop Miguel Rojas tied the game in the ninth, Will Smith launched a go-ahead home run in the 11th to seal the victory, marking the Dodgers’ first Game 7 win since 1965 and only the second Game 7 championship in franchise history.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto, named World Series MVP, earned his third win of the Series, throwing 2.2 innings of shutout relief to close out the longest Game 7 since 1997.

The Dodgers will celebrate their 2025 championship with a Victory Parade through Downtown Los Angeles beginning Monday, November 3 at 11 a.m., followed by a Championship Celebration at Dodger Stadium.

The parade will start at Temple Street and Broadway, travel west on Temple, south on Grand Avenue, west on 7th Street, and north on Figueroa Street, ending at 5th Street. Fans can expect to see players and coaches aboard double-decker buses throughout the route. Following the parade, the in-stadium celebration will begin around 12:15 p.m. with auto gates opening at 8:30 a.m. and stadium entry starting at 9 a.m.

Fans will be able to watch parade coverage on DodgerVision, with food and official merchandise available for purchase. City officials are coordinating with public safety agencies to ensure a safe event and are encouraging attendees to use Metro and plan ahead for closures and detours.
