Americas Best Garden CenterServing residents of Santa Clarita, Antelope Valley, Lancaster, Palmdale and Kern County since 2006, America’s Best Hydroponics and Garden Center has the latest tools, products, literature and everything else needed to build and take care of an indoor or outdoor garden.

America’s Best Hydroponics owner and founder Paul has over 20 years of experience in hydroponics, and he and his employees constantly test new products and attend grow shows to better serve customers and maintain a competitive edge in the ballooning business.

One in three households now grow their own food, according to the National Gardening Association’s 2013 report. That’s the highest participation level seen in a decade — and spending on supplies has spiked in the past five years as well, the association’s report said.

The numbers show food gardening is not just another niche trend. People grow their own crops because they want to eat tastier food and save money on their grocery bill.

Organic garden-to-table produce is better for the body, too.

“Many of the fruits and vegetables we consume are being waxed, dyed, sprayed with pesticides and exposed to radiation, which is extremely harmful to humans and the environment,” Paul shared.

“This is just another reason why everyone should learn hydroponics.”

In the event the United States experiences hyperinflation or other severe economic problems, causing produce prices to skyrocket, growing food at home may be the only way to ensure families can stay healthy and avoid cheap and unhealthy processed food

Some parts of the United States already experience “food deserts,” which the U.S. Department of Agriculture defines as low-income communities where it is impossible to buy fresh fruits and vegetables without driving at least a mile to the nearest grocery store. Hydroponics could be a solution for residents in those areas.

Paul foresees indoor gardens as a common sight in households of the future.

“Like the computer, [hydroponics] will be a modern tool for everyday living,” he said.
