Live scan services scan fingerprints and palm prints for jobs in education and law enforcement as well as media clearance. Sex offenders, criminal bookings and background check also use live scan services.
“We feel that live scan services are important,” said Inessa Chavez, vice president of All American Bail Bonds in Santa Clarita. “Lots of people come to our Valencia office to be able to use these services.”
Live scan services replaced the traditional ink and paper method of fingerprinting in the past couple years.
Officials say the live scan services are more accurate and can be verified more quickly.
“The live scan services are necessary for many jobs in and around the Santa Clarita Valley and Los Angeles County,” Chavez said.
In addition to bail bonds and live scan services, All American Bail Bonds in Santa Clarita offers notary services.
“We can notarize most documents for you,” Chavez said. “It’s another way we can better serve our community.”
A notary is a person who has been licensed by the government to perform certain legal affairs including witnessing the signing of documents, administering and taking oaths, as well as a variety of other things.
Both notaries and live scan operators have to go through government-certified training to be able to carry out the responsibilities correctly.

It is unusual to find a company that offers surety bonds or bail bonds and notary and live scan services. It’ll be a lot more convenient for clients to obtain the services in one place than have to go to different places for them.
