Ion Gandrabura, 29, was originally arrested by Los Angeles Police Department officers on May 20.

“He was found in a car that was reportedly stolen and officers found what they believed to be heroin residue,” said Inessa Chavez, vice president of All American Bail Bonds in Santa Clarita. “Also inside the vehicle, officers found two drivers licenses and credit cards matching the names of those on the drivers licenses but had Gandrabura’s picture.”

Gandrabura was booked for suspicion of Grand Theft Auto and an additional warrant was found in the amount of $70,000.00 dollars on charges of Forgery.

“We bailed out Gandrabura two days after he was arrested with a total bail of $105,000,” Chavez said. “Once Gandrabura was released from jail, the two bail agents that bailed him out were forced out of the lobby by an LAPD officer. There was an altercation between Gandrabura, his friend who came to pick him up and the officers. One of our bail agents was assaulted in the altercation.”

Gandrabura missed his court date on June 12 on the charge of Grand Theft Auto at the Van Nuys Court.

He also missed another court date on June 13.

Officials believe Gandrabura may be involved with additional fraud rings and he may have a severe heroin problem, officials said. He may have fled the United States to Moscow, Romania or Armenia.
