A Santa Clarita couple who runs a home for “dependent adults” is accused of harming one of those clients, Sheriff’s Station officials said Friday.

While deputies continue to search for a man wanted in connection with Wednesday’s shooting, Department of Coroner officials have identified the victim in the incident, officials said Monday.

Coroner’s officials identified the shooting victim in a Canyon Country apartment complex as Ledarion Allen Jr., 21, of Lancaster, officials said.

The cause of death was a gunshot wound.

Deputies are continuing to search for Michael Joe McGlothan, 51, in connection with the incident.

Sheriff’s Department officials reported Wednesday evening that one victim was killed and another wounded in that shooting.

Initial reports indicated a possible domestic incident, but officials are not confirming any additional information at this time regarding the circumstances around the shooting or whether there was any relationship between the suspect and the victim.

Fire officials confirmed there were two reported shooting victims at the 25700 block of Sierra Highway in Santa Clarita, Wednesday, officials said.

A woman was treated at a local hospital for a gunshot wound.

She is reportedly in stable condition.

Deputies are actively investigating the shooting that occurred near an apartment complex near the intersection of Sierra Highway and Soledad Canyon Road, officials said.
