Around 7:20 p.m. Jan. 25, a fight took place between a 15-year-old male and several suspects at the New Horizons condo complex in Saugus.
“Apparently, the (male) victim was communicating with the suspect on social media and the suspect came to the victim’s home,” Lt. Brenda Cambra said, in a previous story. “There was an argument and apparently the suspect stabbed the victim one time with a knife.”
Detectives assigned to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station COBRA Team have been investigating this incident for a number of months, according to a Nixle news release by Deputy Josh Dubin. In order to confirm detectives have spoken to all possible witnesses prior to presenting the case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, detectives are seeking the public’s help in locating possible witnesses to the fight.
Anyone who witnessed the fight, altercation, stabbing or has any information about the incident can contact COBRA Detective Deegan at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at 661-799-5150 or at msdeegan@lasd.org.
Witnesses can also call “LA Crime Stoppers” to remain anonymous at (800) 222-TIPS (8477), texting the letters TIPLA plus your tip to CRIMES (274637), or use the website with reference #01113.
Although detectives are following up on numerous leads and tips, there is no further information available at this time, according to Dubin.
