Two children were airlifted Wednesday after being struck by a vehicle in Saugus.
Around 7:55 a.m. Wednesday, first responders received reports of a traffic collision involving two children in the 27000 block of Catala Avenue in Saugus near Highland Elementary School, said Shirley Miller, a spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“A boy and a girl were struck by a vehicle while crossing the road,” Miller said.
The two children were brought to Central Park and were transported by helicopter to a specialty hospital, according to officials.
Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, but due to their age “were transported to a specialty hospital.”
