Caring For Our Heroes: Paycom And Its Employees Donate $30,000 To The USO

Paycom, a leading provider of comprehensive, cloud-based human capital management software and a model of corporate social responsibility, serves the communities where employees live and work through robust philanthropic efforts inspired by company values.

According to Paycom’s 2023 corporate social responsibility report, 3.7% of all employees identify as active military or veterans. In alignment with this commitment, the company actively supports initiatives  that benefit this community

This October, Paycom donated $30,000 to the United Service Organizations (USO) as part of the company’s employee giving program and dollar-for-dollar match donation.

The USO provides America’s military service members with essential center operations and a range of programs, including deployment and homecoming support, programs for military spouses and children and holiday programs. They have over 250 locations worldwide, with 4.5 million service members and their families participating in location-based programs this year. In Oklahoma, the USO serves over 20,000 military service members and their families each year.

Jennifer Waters, executive director of Oklahoma USO, said, “We’re immensely grateful to Paycom and its employees for their generous contribution in support of our nation’s military service members and their families. “With the unwavering support of patriotic communities and companies, like Paycom, the USO can deliver impactful programs and services designed to strengthen the well-being of our military community – completely free of charge.”

Paycom employees also assembled 1,000 USO care packages for deploying service members at the company’s annual Philanthropy Fair, a volunteering and philanthropy awareness event. These care packages provide vital resources and comfort to troops as they prepare for their missions.

Last year the company contributed $30,000 and put together 750 care packages for the USO at their philanthropy fair

“It’s an honor to fund the resources USO provides for America’s military service members and their families,” said Tara Steffens, team leader of corporate philanthropy programs at Paycom. “This cause is one that resonates with multiple families in our company, and we hope to make service members feel seen and appreciated.”

The Paycom employee giving program supports a multitude of local and national causes, including youth programming, mental health treatment and programs for individuals living with disabilities. Paycom selects a wide range of nonprofits every year, allowing employees to donate to an organization that aligns with their values. Additionally, the company matches every dollar gifted through the employee giving program.
