Golf Is Trending In 2024 And Here’s Why You Should Start Playing Too

Introduction

2024 is eventful for golf lovers. Players like Rose and Ludvig are gaining more popularity, piquing everyone’s interest this season. The game is easily becoming available to the new generation through various mediums.

You can play and watch golf highlights live matches and record them on your smart devices. More than that, it’s the perfect time to learn to play golf this year from a short course.

Are you interested in being an A-player too in golf? Learn the top reasons below and find if you’re the right fit to try your hand or club at it.

Top 7 Reasons to Play Golf in 2024

  1. Explore outdoors and get enough vitamin D!

Golf is a fun sport to play outdoors. Explore different terrains when you’re at a golf course. Get out and get playing in the beaming heat. Do not worry about sweating or pulling a muscle or two with intensive moves.

Opt for golf clothes for men that are suitable, multi-purpose, and protect your skin from harmful UV rays. Get enough vitamin D, but be ready to hit the ball with enough energy and enthusiasm, even if it’s your 3rd try at it!

  1. Teach your kids to play on mobile courses!

No experience on the course? Why worry? Get exploring. Find more accessible and mobile courses for those who are off-course players. Teach your kids the new way to hit the golf ball with their favorite club.

Do not want to walk for 18 holes? No worries. More accessible courses focus on helping you get acquainted with the game. The National Golf Foundation is already allowing multiple companies to open such courses in the country.

Explore the ones that are near you and try a hand without feeling the pressure to be a pro.

  1. Women can make a fortune in golfing!

Do you know the LGPA prize pool for this year? It’s a whopping $118 million! Apart from that, there are going to be at least 16 tournaments for women this year in golf – each with a win of $3 million.

Who wouldn’t want to grab that sum? Go to regular golf matches and practices. Find the best way to swing the club and hit the ball. Love each terrain and find ways to focus on that hole!

And if you consider the grand prize of such matches 5 years ago, it was just $70 million. This indicates women can make both history and fortune in golfing going forward.

  1. Pinning for the golf artifacts? We got you!

See Jack from 1965 Masters, or witness Anika’s shirt from the 2003 Colonial round. Get up close with more such artifacts when the Golf Hall of Fame opens this year in Pinehurst. Want more news?

USGA officially christened this house. Now, those who are true golf lovers can relate to this update.

Start your golf journey today because one day, even your artifacts might be on display. It could be truly an inspirational story for the next generation.

  1. Golf is to be more inclusive and adaptive!

The USAGA began the foundation with five founding members. Since then, it has ground in leaps and bounds. In 2015, it had 45 members. Now, we are sure to lose the count because there is no stopping.

It will continue to create golfing opportunities for people with special needs and certain disabilities. Let the love for golf simmer this year and don’t let an inconvenience or your special needs stop you.

Get your hands on adaptive and modified equipment this year. Check the rules listed out by the alliance to start your golfing journey without doubts.

Make your story heartwarming to those who are watching you and counting on you. Participate in the tournaments for people with disability if you’re also one. Overcome your mental and physical challenges.

Show the world who you are and what talent you have when it comes to golfing. Reach peak performance with modified rules and at least six tournaments across the nation in 2024.

  1. Leverage the first-ever barrier-free Golf Course!

Concerned about barriers? This golfing course removed it all for you to play it if you love it. It matches all the guidelines and is compliant with the Americans with Disability Act.

Anderson, USGA’s founders, vetted and volunteered the rules at the Loop (Chaska).

This golf course has:

  • Not even a single bunker.
  • Restrooms at easily placeable and reachable locations.
  • Easy to access parking lots and terrains.
  • Clubhouse for people with special needs.
  • Carts with pneumatic tires to traverse at ease over different courses or terrains.
  • It has multiple tee boxes to help engage low-handicappers.
  • Get up to 4,000 discounted rounds annually
  • Get up to 2,000 free rounds annually

This course is one of the many lined up in the state for more golfers. Let’s take it up seriously when the government is also taking such a great initiative for players.

  1. Cherish healthy competition!

Are you a go-getter person? Do you love the adrenaline rush of a healthy competition with outdoor sports? Then try playing golf this year. Match your stats and measure those with other golfers.

See who has a better chance to win big at national tournaments like the US Open this year. Are you the next Scottie, Rory, or Xander? Challenge yourself and see if you can hit better targets.

Sharpen your golf game in 2024, and let go of all the barriers!

This year we see golf to be more inclusive, diverse, and monumental for women, in particular. Try your luck and increase your performance. Be it barrier-free ground, money-making tournaments, multi-purpose clothes, golfing gear, or a dream to be in the Hall of Fame.

If you think you deserve it, don’t let the world talk you out of it. Grab your club and hit the target on any terrain of your choice. Try any greens and see for yourself what you’re made of in golfing!
