On this episode of The Senior Hour with Dr. Gene Dorio and Barbara Cochran, Sharon Brubaker and Myles McNamara join the show to talk about senior suicide and knowing when it’s time to help your parents find assistance with aging. Sharon talks about how it is more important than ever to listen to seniors to help them relieve thoughts or emotional pain that may have accumulated over time. In the second half of the show, Myles comes in to talk about knowing when it’s time to have the necessary conversations that help your parents age. Telling your parents that it may be time to find a form of assisted living can be a very difficult conversation. Myles gives advice on how to have that conversation, and how beneficial it can be to help prevent worse accidents that can occur.
