A deputy-involved traffic collision on Bouquet Canyon Road shut down several lanes of traffic on one of Santa Clarita’s busiest roads Sunday evening.

The collision happened just before 5 p.m., near the intersection of Newhall Ranch Road.
One Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department patrol vehicle and a blue pickup truck were involved in the collision. Deputies at the scene said there were no “major injuries” despite damage to the front of the patrol vehicle and the truck.
Deputies were able to open up some northbound and southbound lanes of Bouquet Canyon Road by 5 p.m., but did not have an estimate for when the road would be fully clear.

Bouquet Canyon Road does’nt look too good. There is a lot of cracked pavement and potholes. After all it’s only Saugus, not Newhall or Valencia. Maybe the city has other things to spend money on rather than fix the streets there.
