The final leg of the 2019 Amgen Tour of California raced through Santa Clarita Saturday, bringing some of the world’s top cyclists along with it.
Tadej Pogačar and Anna van der Breggen took home the overall winning titles of the 2019 Amgen Tour Of California in the men’s and women’s categories, respectively.
Slovakian cyclist Tadej Pogačar, 20, became the youngest rider to win the Tour of California, as well as any world tour race ever, with a finishing time of 32 hours, 55 minutes, and 12 seconds.
Pogačar finished 16 seconds ahead of Sergio Higuita. Kasper Asgreen, who was 17 seconds behind, took third. It is Pogačar’s second career win – his first came earlier this year in Portugal.
