6-Year-Old Girl Killed, Toddler Injured In Fiery Stevenson Ranch Crash

A 6-year-old girl was killed and a toddler was injured in a fiery Stevenson Ranch crash Monday morning, officials said.

Just before 9:45 a.m. Monday, officials with the Los Angeles County Fire Department received reports of a solo vehicle traffic collision near the intersection of The Old Road and Pico Canyon Road, according to Marvin Lim with the department.

Witnesses at the scene saw a member of the public performing CPR on one of the young victims until first responders arrived.

The woman driving the vehicle was reportedly wearing no clothes, according to witnesses on scene.

Two children and their mother were transported to a local hospital, where the 6-year-old girl succumbed to her injuries, according to Officer Gubelli with the California Highway Patrol Newhall Area Office.

“The (mother) was driving northbound on The Old Road and went through a red light,” Gubelli said.

The driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a light pole, according to CHP officials.

Both the mother and the other child, a 1 to 2 year old female, are both in stable condition, according to Gubelli.

CHP officers are still actively investigating the incident as of Monday afternoon.
