AutoNation Gives Away 2019 Mini Hardtop During ‘Hart Wheels’ Car Giveaway

AutoNation gave away a 2019 Mini Hardtop to one lucky student from the William S. Hart Union High School District during the annual “Hart Wheels” Car Giveaway on Tuesday.

The third-annual “Hart Wheels” Car Giveaway took place at the Valencia High School Stadium Tuesday evening.

Each year, AutoNation gives a car away to a student in the William S. Hart Union High School District who, “demonstrates improved and/or excellent academic performance,” according to Hart district officials.

This means that qualifying students either had a 3.5 GPA or better in the first or third quarter of the year, or saw an improvement in their grade point average between both of those quarters.

This year over 6,600 sophomores, junior and seniors qualified, according to officials.

In a “very dramatic ceremony”, ten students were randomly selected from the crowd to draw tickets. Then, officials read off ticket numbers, “eliminating” students from the raffle as they did. When only one student remained, they won the 2019 Mini Hardtop.
