A Canyon Country man was arrested Monday at his home after allegedly sending threatening text messages to multiple victims.
The suspect was arrested nearly a month after deputies responded to a criminal threat call involving a victim and her son receiving multiple threatening text messages, according to Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station officials.
“Deputies learned the victim and her son had been receiving multiple text messages, some with profanities, some instilling fear in the victim, from a former friend to her daughter who she allowed to reside in the home for a brief period,” said Deputy Natalie Arriaga with the Santa Clarita Sheriff Station.
28-year-old Zachary Crismond, of Canyon Country, remained outstanding until Monday, when the SCV Crime Impact Team arrested him on charges of terrorizing causing fear at his home on the 19300 block of San Leandro Drive, according to Arriaga.
Crismond’s bail is set at $475,000 and “is high because there are multiple victims,” according to Arriaga.
The investigation remains ongoing as of Wednesday.
