“We have no idea where he is, and because of that, it’s still not a criminal investigation,” said Detective Ralph Hernandez, one of the officials investigating the case. “We don’t have an update at this point.”
William John Cierzan, 58, a Six Flags Magic Mountain employee who seems to have disappeared without notifying family members, is still being sought, according to family members.
“We still need the public to call in if they have any information a to his whereabouts or if they know of anything happened to him,” Hernandez added. “At this point, the status is it’s still a missing persons case.”
While detectives found blood in the home, they’re searching for any potential leads, and have not definitively determined that anything has happened to the man, according to officials.
Any information, even second-hand information on his potential whereabouts, could be reported to 323-890-5500, or anonymously at http://www.lacrimestoppers.org.

Cierzan has been described as a homebody, someone who enjoyed watching golf, working at Six Flags and collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia.
At a press conference on Wednesday, officials from the Los Angels County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau were able to confirm that blood was found inside of the Cierzan residence, and at this time they are currently analyzing the sample to determine of the blood belonged to Cierzan or another party.
William’s wife, Lisa Cierzan, said that she had spoken with Will just hours before discovering his disappearance and had told her he was making dinner, when she arrived she discovered Will missing and the food still on the stove.
Williams wife and family were at the conference asking for any help from the public. “For anyone that lives in Santa Clarita please take a moment to look at Wills picture and try to remember where you were (January 26)” said Cierzan’s sister-in-law, Rosemary Flores, “If you can think of anything that might help will please call the sheriff’s office as soon as possible, we all want my brother in law to come home safely.”
Cierzan’s sister, Andrea Peck, echoed those sentiments adding “He calls me every Sunday, and I need him to give me that call (this) Sunday.”
Investigators were able to confirm that another relative was at the Cierzan residence earlier that day and that the relative had been reached and at this time is not considered to be involved.
Cierzan’s wife did note that in her previous conversations with her husband the day of his disappearance he never mentioned the relative being present.
Surveillance video shows a car matching the relative’s description leaving the house that same day, and investigators are currently working to enhance the video.
Cierzan is the third missing person reported in the area recently, following San Diego resident Jake Roberson, whose car was found abandoned on the northbound Interstate 5 freeway, and Chelsea Vannoy, of Valencia, who has not been heard from by family in several weeks.
Anyone with information regarding a missing person can contact the Sheriff’s Department’s Homicide/Missing Person’s Bureau at 323-890-5500.
