SCV Water is set to host their monthly virtual gardening class: “Managing Soils and Fertilizers in the SCV” on Saturday June 12th at 9am.
The soil and fertilizer that you use for your plants can help improve the health of your plants and help them grow.
“To improve your ‘green thumb’ potential, learn about soils found in the SCV, which one you have in your yard, and the best fertilizers for your landscape,” explained officials of SCV Water.
Managing Soils and Fertilizers in the SCV is a free virtual gardening class and can be attended from the comfort of your own home.

This month’s instructor for the class is John Windsor. A Certified Arborist and a California Certified Nurseryman, John has been a Horticultural Advisor in the Santa Clarita Valley for the last 22 years.
“He has a teaching credential in Horticulture and teaches gardening and landscape classes at the local Adult School, and the Santa Clarita Department of Parks and Recreation,” said SCV Water officials.
SCV Water hosts a virtual class each month on a Saturday starting at 9:00 a.m. Each Class focuses on the topic about for approximately one hour, followed by a question-and-answer session.
“All presentations are recorded and available for viewing on our website one week after the live class. Participants will also be able to download the presentation.”
