The American Red Cross announced its urgent need for blood donations, prompting the City of Santa Clarita to urge residents to make a donation appointment at upcoming City blood drives.

The next blood drive is scheduled for Thursday Dec. 30 at 20880 Centre Pointe Parkway from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
