Women’s History Month will be celebrated by the Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center’s Scholar Series with a historical reenactment in late March.

The reenactment will take place on Friday, March 25 at the center, located at 22900 Market Street.

Louise Willard, a member of the American Association of University Women, will bring notable women in history to life.

The reenactment will feature the life of Pauline Cushman, who traveled to New York to become an actress but was offered the opportunity to work as a spy for the Union Army during the Civil War. She was accepted and soon gained the confidence of high-level Confederate officers.

The celebration of Cushman’s life will be from 1 – 2 p.m. in Rooms A-1 and A-2.
