SCV Chamber Hosts Candidates For Santa Clarita Representatives

The Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce hosted candidates for the 21st Senate District, 38th Assembly District and six of the nine City Council candidates.

On Tuesday, during the Chamber’s regularly scheduled Government Affairs Council, we hosted Senator Scott Wilk, Senate Candidate Kipp Mueller and Assembly Candidate Suzette Valladares.

The SCV Chamber has been at the forefront to advocate for a healthy business climate for the Santa Clarita Valley.

With the legislative session concluded, and the General Election approaching, we invited our members to join our September meeting for a chance to hear from our Senate and Assembly candidates.

Each candidate had a chance to do a welcome and then a Q&A session with our members.

On Wednesday, we were joined by TimBen Boydston, Kelvin Driscoll, Jason Gibbs, Cameron Smyth, Selina Thomas and Christopher Werthe. Topics discussed included, Proposition 15, City Health Department, and the BLM movement.

Each candidate discussed their views for Santa Clarita, what policy issues are in their vision, and how they plan to make a change for the City of Santa Clarita.

Congressional Candidate Forum With Congressmember Mike Garcia and Assemblywoman Christy Smith

For those who were able to join us, we virtually held a forum between the two candidates in April before the Special Election, and now they are headed for the November Ballot.

Tune in virtually to hear what each candidate’s vision is for the 25th Congressional District, what their goals are for continuously bettering the business community and what their plans are as soon as they get into office.

We request everyone to submit their questions by Friday, Oct. 16 at 5:00 p.m. by emailing,
