This week in filming, Santa Clarita will be graced with several television shows with a majority being crime shows.
Television:
9-1-1
Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear recreated the procedural drama with “9-1-1.”
The show delves into the intensely stressful lives of first responders, such as police officers, firefighters and dispatchers, frequently placed in the most horrifying, startling and thrilling circumstances.
These emergency responders have to strike a balance between taking care of their issues and helping those who are most in need.
The program is based on the real-life, high-stress experiences of first responders who frequently deal with terrifying, intense, uplifting, and often unanticipated circumstances.
SWAT
Based on the 1975 series of the same name, “SWAT” follows Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson (Shemar Moore of “Criminal Minds”), a Los Angeles S.W.A.T. lieutenant assigned to lead a highly skilled unit in the community where he grew up.
Torn between loyalty to the streets, where the cops are sometimes the enemy and allegiance to his brothers in blue, he strategically straddles the two worlds.
Murder in the Heartland
In the grand tradition of Investigation Discovery, “Murder in the Heartland” tells terrifying stories of communities in America that are shattered by shocking crimes.
Every town’s story is brought to life by the collective viewpoints of its people, who are the storytellers.
Besides being important witnesses to each of the crimes, the interviewees also possess vital pieces of information that might solve mysteries that drastically altered their lives and perceptions of their formerly ideal hometowns.
NCIS
The Naval Criminal Investigative Service, a crew of colorful characters, investigates crimes ranging from terrorism to espionage and murder that have evidence linking them to members of the Navy and Marine Corps.
CSI: Vegas
With the entire crime lab on the brink of collapse and thousands of convicted killers potentially set free in the bright lights of Sin City, a crack team of investigators band together and use cutting-edge forensic techniques to do what they do best: follow the evidence.
Only by doing so can they save justice in Sin City. The “CSI” franchise has produced a plethora of spin-offs, but this will be the first sequel to the original series.
Cesar Millan: Better Human, Better Dog
“Dog Whisperer” Cesar Millan is filming another episode of his hit show “Cesar Millan: Better Human, Better Dog” locally in Santa Clarita. The reality star’s highly rated dog rehabilitation center “Cesar Millan’s Dog Psychology Center” is located in Santa Clarita.
At the center, Cesar trains both pet owners and their dogs. Viewers get to watch Cesar use his expertise on the show “Cesar Millan: Better Human, Better Dog” to help people struggling with aggressive dogs.
He gives humans a thorough analysis of how dogs behave based on their instinctive pack mentality. He also shows how human reactions can affect the dog’s behavior. When it comes to dogs, there is never a dull moment.
Given the program’s educational value, it is no wonder that Cesar keeps viewers tuning in for more.
The Family Business
Based on his best-selling criminal drama book series, Carl Weber wrote the American crime family drama The Family Business. In 2018, BET produced an eight-episode limited series based on the original concept, conceived as an independent film franchise.
The show centers on the Duncan family, a respectable group of people who run an exotic automobile business in New York, starring Armand Assante, Valarie Pettiford, and Ernie Hudson.
Other:
- Commercial – “XXXLutz,” a German furniture company
- Still Photo – “Vista Print,” an international e-commerce firm that manufactures digital and physical marketing items for small companies.
