A child was airlifted from Central Park in Saugus Monday after experiencing a medical emergency, officials said.

Around 1 p.m. Monday, firefighters received reports of an unconscious child on Bouquet Canyon Road and Alamogordo Road in Saugus, said Vanessa Lozano, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The child was transported via ambulance to Central Park, where the patient was loaded onto a waiting helicopter and transported to the hospital, according to officials.
The age and condition of the child are unknown as of Monday afternoon, according to Fire officials.
