Dutch Bros Coffee, a drive-thru coffee chain that started in Oregon, is expected to open its new locations in Santa Clarita this coming summer.
In 1992, Dutch Bros Coffee started as a pushcart by the railroad tracks in downtown Grants Pass, Oregon, according to their website.
The first Santa Clarita location, at 26655 Valley Center Drive, has been approved and is expected to open this summer, according to a Dutch Bros spokesperson.

The Valley Street location is set to be between Soledad Canyon and Golden Valley Roads, according to Jason Crawford, the Director of Community Development for the city of Santa Clarita.
“Dutch Brothers has also looked at locations both on Valencia Blvd, as well as on Lyons Ave, but neither of those have approvals at this time,” Crawford said.
The first location is expected to be built next to a new McDonald’s, another approved project scheduled for the future, according to Crawford.
According to a company press release, customers can expect upbeat music, energetic “broistas,” the Dutch Bros’ version of baristas, and a focus on speed, quality and service. The company serves specialty coffee, smoothies, freezes, teas, lemonades, sodas, nitrogen-infused cold brew and its exclusive Dutch Bros Rebel energy drink. All drinks are handcrafted and fully customizable.
Dutch Bros Coffee now operates 1,136 locations across 25 states and continues to expand its footprint nationwide.
The company says it is dedicated to “radiating kindness” and giving back through the Dutch Bros Foundation, which supports local communities through charitable initiatives and nationwide giving campaigns.
