Extremely Quirky Destinations For Santa Clarita Families To Visit –  California Science Center

Are you looking for a fun way to learn about science? Then, the California Science Center Is just the place for you.

Get ready for an exciting journey with KHTS as we continue our multi-part series, unveiling the most extraordinary and thrilling destinations for Santa Clarita residents to explore on their quirky getaway.

In the 76th  part of the series, we will explore the California Science Center in Los Angeles.

Within the California Science Center, there are a number of exhibits to explore, including the limited-time Leonardo Da Vinci exhibition, which will depart in January 2025.

The Da Vinci exhibit explores some of his most unique inventions and ideas, including the mechanical bat, flying bicycle, paddle boat and more.

Throughout the exhibit, guests can see some of Da Vinci’s sketches brought to life according to how he intended them to be built.

Within the exhibition, guests can experience a variety of hands-on science learning experiences, including constructing Da Vinci’s renowned self-supporting bridge and riding in his paddle boat.

In addition to Da Vinci, museum visitors can take an in-depth view of the Goose Bumps, the Science of Fear exhibit.

In this exhibit, guests will learn why our hearts race, bodies sweat and knees shake when faced with fear.

Guests can experience all these feelings through interactive challenges like the Fear Challenge Course and discover the science behind our physical and emotional responses.

Then, there is the fire science and safety area, which teaches kids and adults how to start and extinguish a fire safely.

Within the exhibit, there is a firepit where guests can create a fire and practice putting it out using various methods, including water, a fire extinguisher and others.
Other exhibits include the Ecosystems, which show how everything from the kelp forest to deserts to the North and South Poles is connected.

There is also the opportunity for some out-of-this-world exploration in the air and space exhibit that teaches museum-goers about humans in space, missions to other planets and everything aircraft-related.

The California Science Museum offers much more than these exhibits; for example, it has an IMAX theater that shows 3D movies.

To experience all the fun the California Science Museum offers, you’ll have to see it for yourself.
