Extremely Quirky Destinations For Santa Clarita Valley Families: Universal Horror Unleashed

Santa Clarita families looking to shake up their usual weekend routine may want to head to Las Vegas to experience Universal Horror Unleashed.

The Universal Horror Unleashed is the latest location featured in the 144th installment of the KHTS Extremely Quirky Destinations for SCV Families series.

This week, we are back in Las Vegas, featuring Universal Horror Unleashed.

Step inside the living nightmares inspired by Universal’s legacy of cinematic and live entertainment horrors. In a darkened warehouse on the edge of Las Vegas, a relentless spectacle of horror is rising, Universal Horror Unleashed.

While it is a place filled with scary and spooky things, there are still Valentine’s activities to enjoy that run until February 28.

“Skip the roses—choose adrenaline. Universal Horror Unleashed now has an all-new, deliciously dark date night,” states the Universal Horror Unleashed website. “Together, you can face the sinister and elevate your night with our limited-time My Bloody Valentine prix fixe dinner for two, available for purchase at Premiere House.”

For $80 a couple, there is a prix fixe menu that comes with an appetizer, an entree and a dessert. For $40 more, you can add on a drink to enjoy some of the seasonal drinks, such as the “Smoke and Fire”, “Valentine’s Vein,” “Blue Dream,” and “Dark Kiss.”

Don’t worry if you don’t have a special someone or just want to go through the scare houses; that option is always available.

The scare houses include:

Universal Monsters:

Step into the worlds of Dracula, Frankenstein, The Bride of Frankenstein, The Mummy, The Wolf Man and many more as some of the most legendary monsters of all time come to life to put an end to yours.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre:

Scream your way through an incredible re- creation of the original 1974 horror masterpiece. Enter the dilapidated Texas house, confront Leatherface and relive scene after scene in all their chainsaw roaring fury.

 Scarecrow: The Reaping:

During the Great Depression of the 1930s, drought and dust storms devastated the Midwest. From the dry, barren farmland arise horrifying scarecrows bent on revenge for their ravaged land.

 Blumhouse’s The Exorcist: Believer:

Two missing girls have been found with no memory of what happened. But wherever they were, the ultimate evil has returned with them. Enter the most terrifying scenes from Blumhouse’s chilling film.

Beyond each haunted house, you’ll find four interactive entertainment areas: Dead Storage, Kill Vault, Jack’s Alley and Prop Graveyard. Each area is home to an array of monstrous creatures and demented ghouls ready to pull you into their twisted performance.

All of this is located at the Area 15 Zone 2, so after working up a sweat from getting scared, visitors can check out some of the other attractions.
