At least four people have been rescued on an island in the Santa Clara River in Saugus.
Around 10:25 a.m. Wednesday, first responders received reports of four people trapped on an island in the Santa Clara River near Railroad avenue and Magic Mountain Parkway in Saugus, according to officials with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The four people were 75 feet into the river with water speeds of at least 20 mph, according to officials on scene.
A helicopter was able to pluck all four people off the island and return them safely to the main land.
It is unclear exactly how the four people got on the island in the middle of the river and how long they were out there for.
The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning in effect until noon Wednesday, along with a Flood Advisory lasting until 4 p.m., as intense rain bands moved through the area.
