Oakmont Of Valencia Opens Model Apartments, About 50 Percent Reserved

Oakmont of Valencia opened its model apartments for the community to tour earlier this month, and is about halfway full with reservations ahead of its grand opening set for summer 2019.

“Our big milestone that we just had at the beginning of the month is that we opened our models, so now potential residents can come and actually go in the building,” said Margie Veis of Oakmont of Valencia. “Then we can actually walk into our Traditions Memory Care, and we have models set up… It really gives you a feel.”

Community members can get an idea of what the lobby and courtyards will look like, and walk through an activity room, dining area and various floorplans of the model apartments, according to Veis.

“They’re beautiful, but beyond the beauty of that, you can see how purpose-built that apartment home is,” Veis said. “We’re so excited to actually be able to show the community, let them come in, let them touch it, let them feel it, let them see it.”

About 400 people from the community attended the grand opening of the models on April 6, and a special event was also organized for those who have already reserved their spot at Oakmont of Valencia, known as the “founding families,” according to Veis.

“They had a private tour, I got to meet with the families and we did a champagne toast,” Veis said. “We really toasted to the fact that they’re creating the culture. They are going to create the feel of Oakmont of Valencia, and I just wanted to let them know how grateful I was that they chose Oakmont of Valencia, and that they trust myself and my team to care for themselves or their loved ones.”

Veis continued that the opening of the models was “pretty emotional,” as the event marked the start of “everything that is going to come — and it’s coming.”

With Oakmont of Valencia already about 50 percent reserved ahead of its grand opening slated for this summer, Veis is recommending anyone interested in possibly moving in to visit the models.

“We’re around 50 percent already reserved and opening up and building a waitlist for certain floorplans, so I do encourage people, if they’re thinking about it, to come in,” she said. “And if the floorplan that they really like is not available, get on the waitlist.”

Veis continued that she never uses what she called the “f” word — facility — when it comes to Oakmont because of her firm belief that it is much more than that.

“It’s a community. It becomes a family,” she said. “Magic really goes on there, and when you have the ability to do that from the start, … I just feel so grateful and blessed that I can do this, because it’s needed, and myself and our team, we have the knowledge and the skill to be successful and to help families through.”
