Cody Bellinger and Joc Pederson are up to No.’s 2 and 3 in Major League Baseball for home runs after Sunday’s 6-5 win over the Brewers to complete a 3-1 series win in Milwaukee.
Bellinger hit his 11th of the season and Pederson hit two to get to 10 on the year, and the Dodgers’ power continue to overwhelm opponents and wow fans in the month of April. Clayton Kershaw had another solid start in his second of the season, and looked to be in line for the win, going six innings and allowing two earned runs. His earned run average is at typical Kershaw levels–2.77.
The Dodgers (15-9) lead the National League in home runs, hits, runs scored, and slugging percentage.
Los Angeles has an off day today, before opening a three game series at Wrigley Field with the Chicago Cubs. The Cubs started 3-8, but have now won seven of their past nine games to get to 10-10. They’re 5-3 at home.
