Plumbing Truck Crashes Through Guardrail On Southbound 14 Near Soledad Exit

A plumbing truck crashed through a guardrail Monday afternoon on the southbound 14 Freeway north of the Soledad Canyon Road exit in the Shadow Pines area, according to officials.

The incident was reported to the California Highway Patrol at approximately 2:45 p.m. as a single-vehicle collision involving a plumbing truck.

When officers arrived on scene, they found the truck had broken through the guardrail along the right shoulder of the freeway. The vehicle’s momentum carried it partially up a nearby hillside before it came to a stop.

The crash prompted the closure of one southbound lane as crews worked to secure the scene and assess the damage.

Personnel from the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to assist, including Station 132, Engine 81 and Squad 107.

Firefighters evaluated the two plumbers inside the truck and determined there were no reported injuries. Both were described as shaken but did not require transport to a hospital.

According to CHP Traffic Incident Information Page records, the crash was cleared and traffic conditions were returning to normal by approximately 3:05 p.m.
