Pet parents can register their dogs from now until Wednesday, July 31, at which point photos can be submitted to [email protected]. All pet parents must be registered for the walk to enter their pet into the contest.
This year’s walk is scheduled to take place on Saturday, Sept. 28 at Bridgeport Park, according to officials.
The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is held annually in more than 600 communities worldwide and is considered the world’s largest fundraiser for Alzheimer’s care.
The event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease, according to officials.
Since 1989, the Alzheimer’s Association mobilized millions of Americans in the Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk; now the Alzheimer’s Association is continuing to lead the way with the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
While there is no fee to register for the Walk, all participants are encouraged to help raise funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support and advance research towards methods of prevention, treatment and a cure.
