The California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) restaurant in Valencia has been temporarily closed after the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health cited the establishment for a vermin infestation.
According to a notice posted on the front door, the restaurant at 24061 Newhall Ranch Road in Valencia was ordered closed on Aug. 4, 2026, due to a vermin infestation in violation of California Health and Safety Code Section 114259.1.

The closure order was issued by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, which oversees food safety inspections for restaurants in the county.
Health department closures for vermin infestations are typically temporary. Restaurants are generally allowed to reopen after correcting the sanitation issues identified during the inspection and successfully passing a follow-up inspection conducted by county health officials.
A reopening date for the Valencia location has not been announced officially, but they anticipate opening by Thursday afternoon.

I was at that location recently and was appalled by how dirty the restaurant was. The booths looked like they were covered in black grease. Ther vermin infestation does not surprise me. I vowed not to return.
That’s one think I applaud L. A. County on, they seem to keep up on food sanitation and infestation and food storage and shut them down until they comply.
