Officials with the Westfield Valencia Town Center celebrated the completion of a $20 million renovation project Thursday evening.

On Thursday, officials with the Westfield Valencia Town Center hosted an event celebrating the completion of a $20 million renovation project aimed at “bringing the interior of the property together” with the mall’s patio area and the shops along Town Center Drive, according to John Musella, spokesperson for the

“It’s turned out beautifully,” Musella said. “We’ve had some tremendous comments, not only from the community but from our retailers inside the shopping center as well. They’re really happy with it.”

The renovation project focused on improving the interior of the shopping center located in the “heart of the community,” including the food court, the floors, and some of the interior landscaping, according to Musella.

“We’re literally situated in the center of the valley,” Musella said. “So many people come here and have fond memories from over decades.”

The students were invited to not only help celebrate the beginning of the holiday season, but also to “celebrate the beginning of the healing process” in the wake of the Saugus High Shooting that occurred only a week prior, according to Musella.

“In the last week, we’ve seen everyone come together with love and support, and we just want to be a part of that,” Musella said.

The Westfield Valencia Town Center currently houses approximately 180 businesses, making it the second largest economic generator in the City of Santa Clarita with over 1,000 jobs, according to officials.
